Edward Rosenfeld
Edward S. Rosenfeld is a family business consultant with extensive management and entrepreneurial expertise, particularly in manufacturing, real estate, furniture leasing and as well in retail and energy management.
As a former owner of a family business and a serial entrepreneur, Ed has walked the path his clients find themselves on today, and can lead them in the best direction.
He was CEO for 15 years of his second-generation, family-owned furniture rental company, which was sold to Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway Corporation.
For the last 14 years, Ed’s consulting practice has focused on closely held business growth and transition, including the preparation of business partnership charters, business growth planning, succession planning, exit planning, and mergers and acquisitions management. For NYC manufacturers, Ed provides his services through the ITAC a part of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership, an initiative of the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Ed has been active in the Family Firm Institute, The Estate Planning Council of New York and the Association for Conflict Resolution. Ed has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social science from Columbia University. He received mediator training through the Bar Association of the City of New York, The Center for Mediation in Law, and New York University’s Mediator Training Program. He also completed the specialized SuccessCare® and Galliard Family Business Advisor Institute® training programs for family business consultants.
